Giveaway!
A while ago in a post I don’t feel like finding, I mentioned the possibility of doing a giveaway at some point.  That point is today.
Giveaway contents (pictured above):
The Virtue of Civility, by Howard Shils
Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand
Democracy — The God That Failed, by Hans-Hermann Hoppe
The Limits of State Action, by Wilhelm von Humboldt
American Empire:  Before the Fall, by Bruce Fein [SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR]
“Economic Liberty and the Constitution,” by Jacob G. Hornberger
“Henry Hazlitt:  An Appreciation,” from the Foundation for Economic Education
Freedom Daily, Vol. 21, No. 11, from the Future of Freedom Foundation
Three (3) copies of the Constitution + The Declaration of Independence, published by the Cato Institute
Two (2) Young Americans for Liberty buttons
One (1) “It’s NOT Left vs. Right, It’s the State vs. You!” bumper sticker
I haven’t read all of these in their entirety, but it’s a pretty solid sample of libertarian/antistatist thought/stuff.  Especially if you’re new to libertarianism, this is an awesome opportunity to develop a solid philosophical foundation — though you will not, of course, agree with everything every book says.  I know I don’t.
Except for the Henry Hazlitt appreciation, which was published in 1989, all items are brand new.  The Hoppe book is even in an unopened plastic wrapper.
Giveaway rules:
Reblog this post with an awesome libertarian/antistatist quote (which I can steal to look smart in the future :P).  Multiple reblogs are ok, as long as you use a new quote each time.
Follow my tumblr. (I mean, if you actually want this stuff, you probably do anyway, but this seems to be a fairly common/reasonable request in tumblr giveaways.)
Contest runs til Friday, June 3, at 5 p.m. (one week from now).
I’ll use a random number generator to pick a winner.
Unfortunately, I’m going to have to limit it to shipping addresses in the U.S. and Canada.  Also, I will probably send it media mail, so expect it to take a week or two to get to you.
I’ll announce the winner on Friday, June 3.  You must message me your name and address by Sunday, June 5, at 5 p.m. or I will pick a new winner.
Good luck!
